Moyno, Inc. offers Moyno® 300 Series Progressing Cavity Pumps as a cost-effective solution for applications requiring a general utility pump. These pumps can handle a variety of…
Weir Materials and Foundries specialise in the manufacture of corrosion resistant stainless steel products, and construction materials for sulphate removal packages. Mainly serving the oil, gas and marine handling industries, Weir stock and distribute Zeron® 100 super duplex stainless steel pipes, fittings and flanges as individual components or as project managed pipework packages. They also fabricate Zeron 100 pipe spools, manifolds and cartridge filter vessels in accordance with client drawings and specifications.
Weir’s foundry produces pressure containing castings in all high alloy materials commonly used in the marine and seawater handling industries, regularly supplying castings to pump valve and other engineering companies.
ZERON 100 CORROSION RESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL
Zeron 100 is a high strength, corrosion resistant stainless steel that resists all forms of corrosion attack in seawater service. It is readily available in all product forms.
Weir regularly replace corroding pipework systems constructed in AISI grade 316L and have many new build applications.
Weir’s Zeron 100 products compete strongly with 6% Molybdenum and AISI 904L austenitic stainless steels by providing lower costs and better availability of materials. Zeron 100 offers exceptional reductions in wall thickness of pipes and vessels in view of its higher strength when compared with these alloys.
Zeron 100 provides a long life, minimum maintenance facility for all applications in SWRO, brackish water, brines and marine applications.
SEAWATER REVERSE OSMOSIS APPLICATIONS
In seawater reverse osmosis, Zeron 100 has been used extensively for high pressure seawater feed pipe work, high pressure pumps and cartridge filter vessels. Extensive international projects have built upon Weir’s outstanding reputation and they have references from the UK, Spain, Cyprus, Seychelles, Middle East, Far East and USA. Weir supplied material for valves on the Great Man Made River project in Libya.
SULPHATE REMOVAL PACKAGES
Weir specialise in materials designed for construction for sulphate removal packages for the oil and gas industries. These packages utilise reverse osmosis technology to remove salts from produced fluids prior to reinjection to enhance secondary recovery of oil and gas. This technology removes salts that would otherwise scale the formation and provide nutrients for microbial activity that could lead to highly detrimental reservoir souring.
SWRO UNIT CONSTRUCTION
Weir have supplied manufacturers and engineering contractors building SWRO units which vary in capacity from 2,500 gallons/day to 28 million gallons/day. Weir also supply Zeron 100 to valve and pump companies, as well as other equipment manufacturers, involved in energy recovery, and membrane cartridge construction.
When plant efficiency is a priority, low maintenance costs required and reliability a must, the choice of process pump is critical. During the lifetime of a pump 5% of the cost is from the purchase….
